Adult Sunday School

College and Career This class is for young adults in the transition stage of moving into responsibilities of school, work and family, and it’s currently “under Re-construction!” Wear your hard hat, and come help re-design, re-fine, and re-build this important class into what you want it to be.  There’ll be good discussions! There’ll be coffee! There’ll be goodies! Rick Runge and Larry Gilbert Leaders along with Earl Renshaw, who comes by frequently to provide a more “seasoned” perspective! Meets in Lower Level-Room 106, but may move soon!

Journeys Men and women in an age range from their 30′s and up make up this class.  A video based class with discussion afterward. The class is currently viewing a series filmed in the Holy Lands. Ed and Jennifer O’Donnell, Leader; Lower Level-Room 107

Passages This class is for men and women of all ages.  This class will give you in-depth looks at various books fo the Bible as well as theological themes of the Christian church. The Class is beginning a new study of the book of Jeremiah-now would be a good time to try out this interesting and engaging Sunday School class. Gaye and Randy Auxier, Leaders; Lower Level-Room 108

Helping Hands This traditional Bible study class consists of senior men and women. They use the “Adult Bible Studies” series prepared by the United Methodist Church. This excellent series uses Bible themes to help us think about family, church and community.  The theme this fall will be “Tradition and Wisdom” – Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon and Matthew.  Joe and Shirley Watson, Leaders; Upper Level-Room 202

Upper Room This class is for both men and women, generally at the  “empty nest” stage of life. The class emphasizes “growing in faith” studies, and is currently using a Max Lucado study of the book of Acts.  A new study will start soon, using John Ortberg’s study of Exodus.  Both these books focus on how we apply the deeper lessons of the Bible stories in our lives today. Seekers  Mature men and women focus on  a variety of Christian books and Bible related material in this class.  The class is currently studying stories in the book of Genesis, a good place to learn of God’s continueing love for a flawed human race! Faithful Friends This is a class for women of all ages, and has two class times 8:00 a.m. or 10:10a.m. Genereal topics are Christian book studies and Scripture studies. The current study is on a book by Bill Hybels titled “Just Walk Across the Room”.  Teresa Gilbert, Leader; Upper Level-Room 204
