Murphysboro Food Pantry

has experienced a 38% growth in clients served since the Fall 2009 when they moved into their new facility.  The expanded warehouse and client service areas have allowed them to continue to serve the ever-growing number of food recipients -26,775 in the last 12 months!  Less than 5% of their budget comes from FEMA or other county revenue sources.  The balance of donations that keep their doors open, come from people andcongregations like ours, who believe that the work of “easing the pain of hunger in Jackson County” is a necessary and worthwhile mission.

There are several ways to contribute to this mission of MUMC. There is a donations box for dry or canned goods at the top of the stairs at the parking lot entrance. Monetary donations may go in envelopes that are also located with the donations box, then placed in the offering or mailed to the pantry.
Certain fundraisers and noisy offerings also go towards the support of the
Murphysboro Food Pantry.  Volunteer opportunities are also available by contacting the pantry directly at (618)684-8258 and leaving a message.
Someone will get back to you.
